Borderlands 4 release: platforms, new movement, and the Kairos story

Borderlands 4 is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version on October 3. Set on the hostile planet Kairos, it adds gliding, grappling, and double jumps, plus a seamless world without loading screens. Co-op supports up to four players. Early reviews praise the gunplay and writing but note PC performance issues. Gearbox is pitching this as its biggest Borderlands yet.
